Sanskriti School, Kathua participates in Walkathon | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Feb 5: The Student of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua participated in a Walkathon conducted by the office of the Regional Transport officer Kathua, H.Q, Lakhanpur. The Government of Jammu & Kashmir is observing '30th Road safety Week 2019 from 4th to 10th February 2019' with the theme 'Sadak Suraksha - Jeevan Raksha'. The objective of this week long programme is to sensitize citizen/state holders of the district about the motor vehicle Rules and regulation as well as road safety measures which needs to be adhered for saving precious life and recourses of the state/nation. The '30th Road Safety Week' was inaugurated by worth Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Sh. Rohit Khajuria, KAS and District Superintendent of Police, Kathua S.Patil IPS. The programme was started by an informational speech on Road Safety by the worthy D.C Kathua. SSP Kathua pointed on the decreased death rate in Kathua district due to the safety measures which were implemented during the last 3 months. RTO officer Dr. Rajkumar Thappa informed the kids about the preventive measures which we have to follow religiously. The whole event was concluded with a walkathon which was started from G.D.C Kathua, passed through Martyrs Chowk and culminated at Mukharjee Chowk, Kathua. |
