| DPS Jammu bids farewell to class XII | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 14: Delhi Public School, Jammu organized farewell and Blessing ceremony "Vigama" for the outgoing batch of class XII. The students were welcomed by the Tilak Ceremony by the students of class XI. The programme commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and blessing ceremony wherein the Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra along with the staff, bestowed blessings upon the children. Devoting the day to the years spent together with friends, teachers and reminiscences of joyous moments, students of Class XI presented a soulful group song depicting sad separation and glorious memories of friendship. This was followed by class-wise photographs and distribution of the mementoes by the class teachers. A duet performance was given by the outgoing student Uday Bhat of class XII and Aashiya Iqbal of class XI.
After this a valedictory speech was given by the Head Girl Guniya Sharma in which she shared her feelings and her journey in the school in the form of a beautiful poem. Earlier, Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra shared a few tips for coping with examination and urged the children to carry forward the torch of enlightenment and live up to the school motto 'Service Before Self'. She wished all students good luck for their upcoming board examination. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also blessed the students. She motivated the students to forge ahead with confidence and zeal. Dy. Headmaster, Ravi Kotroo and Chief coordinator, Umesh Sharma in their speeches wished the outgoing students all the best for the Board Exams and their future lives. |
