| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 9 bovine animals rescued | | | Kathua Feb 14: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, District police under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua- Shridhar Patil claimed to have rescued 9 bovines. Police spokesman said that DySP Ravinder Singh-SDPO Border Kathua alongwith SI Ashwani Incharge Police Post Chadwal succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 9 bovine animals. Police team on a tipoff about bovine smuggling established checkpoint checking at NHW near Seswan Chadwal and seized two Mahindra Bolero, one bearing registration number JK08F-0188 and other without registration number illegally carrying bovine animals.
In this process Police saved 9 bovine animals and Police registered a case under relevant sections of Law. Further investigation into the case is going on. |
