ACB caught public servant demanding, accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 18: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kashmir today caught a public servant red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a contractor of M/s Sterlite Technologies for release of their bank guarantee documents lying with the National Highways Authority of India. Spokesman of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kashmir said that on receipt of a written complaint, lodged in Police Station Anti-Corruption Bureau Kashmir, by a contractor of M/s Sterlite Technologies limited alleging therein that one government employee namely Irfan Ahmad was demanding bribe for release of their bank guarantee documents lying with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). "Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR No 05/2019 under section 5(2) J&K P.C Act Svt; 2006, 4-A Amendment Act- 2014 was registered and a successful trap was laid by the sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau", said spokesman adding that the said public servant was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant and arrested. While further investigation of the case is going on. |
