Poonch, Feb 18: Accusing Deputy Commissioner and Public Health Engineering Department Poonch, the inhabitants of Dhara, Fatehpur and Danna Dhakran said, Water Supply Scheme Dhara-Fatehpur has been out of order since it's inauguration.
According to the sources, the scheme was started in 2006-07 which was inaugurated in 2010 and was closed in 2014-15, till date it has not been restored to serve its purpose. According to some locals, even they have put up the matter before deputy commissioner Poonch several times, but he also did not paid any heed.
Locals said, PHE department Poonch has embezzled lakhs of rupees from this scheme and no investing agency is taking care of the issue. Locals have appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik to constitute a team to investigate the matter and take strict action against involved officials of PHE department. |
