During interactions people apprised Manohar lal Sharma about the problems faced by them on day to day basis such as scarcity of drinking water, electricity, bad conditions of roads, shortage of ration and many more. They further complained that to cater the scarcity of water especially in Kandi belt many dug wells and hand pumps were dug in 2015 during Dr. Sharma's tenure but majority of them were not commissioned during past 4 years by the previous BJP government.
While addressing the gatherings Dr. Sharma heavily criticized the misgovernance of BJP government due to which common masses are facing and feeling deceived. He said among all the districts of the state, kathua districts has suffered most neglection and step motherly behavior especially on employment front even though Kathua district has given 5 MLA's and 1 MP to BJP . He said not even a single person has featured in last two notifications for selection list of teachers by JKSSB and not even a single degree college was sanctioned to district kathua in the recently announcement by the Governor's administration . He further said during his tenure as minister many new government schools were opened and upgraded to higher secondary schools from primary schools, many new Naibats and tehsils were made, New projects of public benefit were initiated, many new bank branches were opened but on the contrary present MLA failed to complete the works initiated by him.
People also complained that instead of opening more branches many bank branches were closed in the area and many upgraded higher secondary schools are still waiting for new batches to sit since past 3-4 years. Manohar Lal Sharma further said it feels pains and pity on seeing the condition of common masses today due to bad governance & lack of vision by the BJP government. Also he said that people are now fed up with the hollow promises of BJP and have realized that congress is the only option for country to prosper and requested people to vote for congress in upcoming elections in the state and the country. He also assured the masses that their problems will be addressed through proper forum and also promised them, that they will not face any such problems again, once congress comes back in power
