Jammu, Mar 8: In connection with the International Women's Day, a colourful function was organized here by well-known women NGO, Meri Pehchan Women's Club.
Former Chief Minister and Present MP Dr Farooq Abdullah was the chief Guest.
Among others who were also present on the occasion includes, Dr Mustafa Kamal former Minister, S.S Wazir Former A.D.G Police, Aslam Qureshi, I.A.S, Prominent Journalist Sohail Kazmi, Provincial President National Conference Devender Singh Rana, Israr Khan Former , DIG Plice, Rattan Lal Gupta, Sr NC Leader etc.
NGO, Meri Pechan Women's Club has done a commendable Job in empowering the women folk for which the N.G.O has been appreciated from every corner of the State.
Some prominent women were felicitated for their dedication to the society. They include, Dr R Madan, Poornima Sharma, Dy Mayor, Manu Khajuria (Founder Voice of Dogra) Sunaina Mehta (Secy. Municipal Corporation Jammu) Malvika Kalra (Social Activists) Nipun Tickoo (Excise officer), Kusum Tikoo (Sr. Artists) Sandhya Gupta (social activist), Poornima Dhar (Manager 181 Women helpline) and Radhey Mahajan (social activist).
