| One day farmers training camp organized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 11: Farmers Training Centre, Jammu organized one day farmers' awareness camp at Panchayat Tirlokpur (Pounichak) of Marh Sub-Division in which large number farmers of the area participated today. The camp has been conducted under the directions and guidance of Director Agriculture Jammu P S Rathore and Deputy Director of Agriculture (Trainings) Jammu Sunil Kumar Koul. Speaking on the occasion Training Officer, FTC Sarmesh Kumar advised the farmers to avail the benefits of various farmers' welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) Kisan Credit Cards Scheme (KCCS), Sub Mission on Agriculture Machinery (SMAM) and various other State Sector Schemes to shift from production centric to market led farming. He advised the farmers to adopt the Improved Agricultural Practices and Technological Interventions especially through value additions and diversification to raise their income. AEO Pounichak Tirath Singh Bhalwal and Demonstrator (FTC) Asmeeta Sharma speaking on the occasion elaborated on various ongoing Centrally Sponsored and State Sector Farmers Welfare Schemes including Soil Health Card Scheme (SHCS), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Integrated Farming System (IFS). The others who spoke in the camp include Agriculture Extension Assistants Sanjeev Gupta , Sindhu Jyoti, Vishal and Menakshi Bharti besides others. |
