ICPS sensitizes people on Child Labour, Drug Abuse | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Mar 11: Under the supervision of District Child Protection Officer Kishtwar, Tariq Parvez Qazi, Integrated Child Protection Scheme in collaboration with Softek Education Charitable Trust raised voice against Child Labour, Drug Abuse, Right to Education and Juvenile Justice Act in Kishtwar and several school-going kids and youths, under the banner of ICPS, took part today in Nukkad Natak cum Awareness programme held in slum areas of Shakti Nagar Kishtwar. Taking a strong note on the child labour and Drug Abuse, the students of Softek Education Charitable Trust under the banner of ICPS organised a Nukkad Natak and highlighted the perils of child labour and Drug Abuse besides spreads the word on the importance of education. However, during the Nukad Natak cum Awareness, the students/participants highlighted the role of ICPS and it's structures including District Child Protection Unit, Child Welfare Committee, Juvenile Justice Board and Special Juvenile Police Units. Meanwhile, while appreciating the efforts and commitments of the students of the above said trust, Chairperson Child Welfare Committee Kishtwar Mohan Lal Thakur, said. that the motive of organising the entire programme on Child Labour and Drug Abuse are to make the people aware about the evils of child labour and Drug Abuse, he said and adding that it's a child who becomes the national builder in future and would hold the responsibility to run society in different manners like educationally , socially ,economically and politically. |
