| Animal Husbandry Dept organizes FMD-Control Programme | | |  Early times Report
Reasi, Mar 1: Animal Husbandry Department Reasi organized a FMD-Control Programme (FMD-CP) cum Awareness Camp today at Chief Animal Husbandry Office, Reasi where in a large number of Panches and Lady Sarpanch were present.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Reasi explained the awareness regarding FMD -CP& Dairy Farming. Awareness regarding FMD-CP was discussed during the meeting complete FMD-CP. Vaccination should be done as soon as possible.
The first phase of FMD-CP is going on in district Reasi under which all the cattle will be vaccinated. The amount now 01 lakh 83 thousand doses of FMD vaccine have been procured/utilized in the District so far in the first stage; while about 1.50 lakh doses have been procured for the stage II.
All the members were requested to give the description of their animals and problem being faced by them. Upcoming awareness and vaccination camps were discussed and planned in the meeting.
District Panchyat Officer Parvinder Kour was invited as Chief Guest and encouraged the women entrepreneurs about their career in Dairy farming.
She also emphasized the ladies present to take part in upcoming election in a big way. Dr. Mandeep Singh Azad from KVK Reasi also briefed about various activities of the Kendra. All the members in the meeting were given awareness regarding upcoming election and motivated them to take part in festival of election and also encourage the people of their areas as much as they can. |
