Doda, Mar 11: Deputy Commissioner, Doda Dr. Sagar D. Doifode(IAS) who is also the District Election Officer Doda convened a meeting with the nominated Nodal Officers at DC Office to review the preparedness and to discuss various issues regarding the smooth conduct of upcoming General Elections, 2019, here today.
Additional Deputy commissioner Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, SDM Thathri, Dy. DEO ,SDM Assar, ACD Doda, DSWO Doda, Ex. En of PWD,DEPO Doda, Nodal officers, BDO's, Tehs-ildar's and other officers were present on the occasion. District Election Officer Doda, informed the meeting about the formal announcement of upcoming Lok Sabha elections made by ECI yesterday, after which Model Code of Conduct (MCC) accordingly has been put into place immediately. DEO also directed the concerned nodal officer that MCC must be implemented in letter and spirit and voilation of the same shall be handled strictly under rules and regulations set by ECI. DEO was also informed by the meeting, that various activities regarding Special Summary Roll, EVM-VVPAT training across the district under SVEEP, printing of ballot papers, publishing of electoral rolls etc. The meeting also discussed in detail about the physical verification of polling stations in the district, availability of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF), their vulnerability mapping and web casting and other issues. |
