Kathua, Mar 24, Excise Department destroyed 600 Kgs of Lahan during different raids carried out to arrest the menace of illicit distillation and sale of liquor in Excise Range Kathua.
On the directions of the Excise Commissioner M. Raju and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissi-oner (Executive), Jammu S. Amarjeet Singh, the Excise Team comprising of ETO Eradication Virender Singh Billawria & ETO Rafie Naik along with Inspector's Excise Razi Ahmad, Tariq Aziz, SI Amit Sharma , Sanjeev Kumar, Neel Raj Gupta, Naveen Sharma & Excise Guards Rajinder Singh, Shamsher Dev Singh, Hans Raj, Sanjeev Sharma ,Pawan Sharma, Tarseem Singh , Sanju Kumar raided the Tarf Sanji, Chardyala, upper Saktachak & Ladhuchak areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor.
In the process more than 600 Kgs of Lahan raw material of illicit liquor, which is highly hazardous and injurious for health was recovered by the raiding team from state land & later destroyed on spot. |
