Jammu, Mar 24: World T.B day was observed today at St. Joseph Hospital, Smailpur Bari Brahmna. Principal secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo was chief guest, Director Health Service, Jammu, Dr Samir Mattoo was guest of honour and Mission Director NHM, Sh.Bhupinder Kumar was Special guest. A van with Mike and speaker was flagged off by the dignitaries from the place of Venue for creating awareness amoung public. Function was started with saraswati vandhna and welcome address by STO Jammu, Dr Sanjay Turki. Some cured patients, under treatment patients and DOT providers/workers Were felcitated by Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education, Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo .Some Patients told their success stories how they came out of this disease .STO Jammu, Dr. Sanjay Turki briefly explained the present status of TB in Jammu. Principal secretary Health and Medical education JK and Director Health services, Jammu Dr Samir Mattoo also spoke on the occasion and stressed upon the complete eradication of the disease by 2025 in the country. A nukad natak was also performed making awareness about disease to public. All the officers from DHS, Jammu were present and graced the occasion At the end ,vote of thanks was given by STO Jammu, Dr Sanjay Turki.
