Jammu, Mar 24: Punjab Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu organized a fortnightly literary meet at Tagore Public Hr. Secondary School, Rani Bagh, Digiana, Jammu today. Sh. M S Kamra, a Punjabi Ghazal poet and writer, presided over the meeting. Writers and poets of Punjabi attended the meet and presented their creations. S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, former President, PLS welcomed the poets and writers who attended the meeting. S. Amar Singh Kuka, Vice- President of PLS, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Piara Singh Dhanjal, Jang S. Verman, Harjit Singh Uppal, Balwinder Singh Deep, M S Kamra and Charanjit Singh from Jammu, Gurdhian Singh Sanjh from Punjab and Suraj Singh Suraj and Kanwal Kashmiri from Kashmir, read out their poetry in the meeting on various themes. An essay was read out by Pritam Singh Anjaan. A short story was presented by Ratan Singh Kanwal, a writer from Kashmir. A discussion on poetry, essay and short story, was conducted during interaction session later on. In his address M S Kamra expressed his views on the poetry, short story and essay read out in the programme. He appreciated the participation of the poets and writers and PLS for promoting Punjabi literature. He appreciated all the creations presented in the meeting. |
