GDC Ramnagar organizes seminar on 'Gender Equity and Women's Rights'

ramnagar, Mar 25: A seminar was conducted today by Dr. Monica, Convener, and Prof. Deepa Sharma, Organising Secretary, Women Development Cell, GDC, Ramnagar on the theme-"Gender Equity and Women's Rights". The seminar started with the inaugural session in which welcome address was given by Dr Monica, Convenor of Women Development Cell. Dr Y P Kundal, Principal of the college was the chief guest of the seminar, appreciated the staff and the students to conduct such kind of activities in the college premises. Prof. Brinder Singh Chib honoured the chief guest by presenting a bouquet to the chief guest. The Resource Person Advocate Shallu Khajuria was honored by presenting Bouquet of flowers and momentoes. Prof. Ritika Mahajan highlighted the role of empowered women in ancient society and their relevance in the present scenerio . Advocate Shallu Khajuria, enlightened the students about legal rights for women in India. Students of the college presented their views regarding the current situation of women in India. Prof Yash Paul, Prof Om Parkash Sharma and Prof Anuradha Sharma acted as judges in the seminar. Pratiksha, Sakul Kharka and Dharmik Sharma bagged first, second and third prize respectively. Finally, the seminar was concluded by a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Yash Paul.
