Jammu,Mar 25: The School of Languages & Literature, a leading and research oriented department at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has organised a two-day National Doctoral Conclave (25-26 March, 2019) to promote the academics and research environment in and around the campus. The two day event was divided into paper presentations and research workshop. On the day one, i.e. 25 March 2019, the doctoral students presented and showcased their researches, on day two, i.e. 26 March 2019, a workshop to be organised on research methods. During the inaugural ceremony, Prof. Veerendra Mishra (Banasthali Vidyapeeth); Prof. Deepshikha Kotwal (Central Uni. of Jammu) and Prof. Sucheta Pathania (Uni. of Jammu) were present as Resource Persons. At the outset, Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay, Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, graced the event as the Chief Guest, and encouraged the School of Languages & Literature for organising such activities. Dr. Amitabh V. Dwivedi, Head of the School and Coordinator of the Conclave, threw light on the importance of research and knowledge in the growth of an institution. Dr. Anurag Kumar, Convener of the Conclave presented the formal Vote of Thanks. The Organising Secretaries, Dr. Simran Preet Kaur and Ms. Isha Malhotra expressed their gratitude to Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU for his motivation and support. The event attracted around sixty research scholars from University Of Jammu, Central University Of Jammu, Colleges of Udhampur and in-house participants from various streams. |
