BILLAWAR, Mar 29: Former Minister and President District Congress Committee Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today conducted series of public interaction meetings at villag Kandarnu, Kodithyal, Bhool, Jasyal, Galak, Nand, Kanth and Chown of Billawar Assembly segment wherein he said that the present union government has failed on all fronts.
While condemning the 5 years rule of BJP government both at centre and the state, Dr Sharma said that it is unfortunate that BJP is celebrating misrule of present Union Government of India led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has failed on all fronts in delivering to the people. Lambasting the Government, Manohar disclosed that militancy in Kashmir is on peak and stone pelters are targeting security forces on daily basis but BJP government has not taken any steps to curb the same.
He further said that common man is frustrated due to the increasing prices of commodities and poverty is increasing day by day.
The Congress leader said that BJP people are shameless and celebrating their failures as an achievement by befooling the people. He urged the voters to vote for Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha seat, Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh in upcoming parliamentary election and said Congress is the only party which has vision for development of the nation.
While lambasting BJP government and its leadership during the meetings, Dr Sharma expressed his resentment against the previous BJP-PDP government and said people of Billawar area are facing major problems such as non-regular supply of drinking water, bad road conditions and irregular as well less supply of ration.
He said while BJP talks of temples but 250 ancient temples alone were demolished during BJP rule in past 4 years. He said BJP adopts tactics of temple only when elections are near to communalize the masses and once elections are over they forget temples.
