Early Times urges Advisor Kumar to get cases registered against ET probed by CBI | We also request him to reopen murder case of Dr Sankhyadhar, killed 10-years ago | | Whenever Early Times exposes any corrupt element the newspaper management starts receiving threats from different quarters. The common tactic which these "influential" people use is that they ask the Police to open the old cases, which have been filed against the ET management on "frivolous charges" and then start harassing the management of the daily and its staff members. We urge Governor's Advisor Mr K Vijay Kumar, who is known for his honesty, integrity and uprightness, to get the cases, which have been registered against Early Times referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. If we are found guilty we are ready to face the law. Otherwise action should be initiated against those officials, who misuse their positions to "intimidate and harass" us and don't allow us to work. The Governor's Advisor Mr K Vijay Kumar during the past nine months has proved his mettle and has set many things right. We hope he would intervene and pay heed to our request to refer the cases registered against us on fabricated charges to CBI, the premiere investigating agency of the country. We also request the Advisor Kumar to reopen the murder case of a noted psychiatrist Dr Pradeep Sankhyadhar, who was killed in cold blood ten years ago. It may be recalled that when investigations into the alleged murder of Dr Pradeep K Sankhyadhar, a psychiatrist at Satwari hospital, were left half way, many people raised eyebrows and till date no one knows who sabotaged the probe. The murder had stirred the conscience of the entire Jammu city but even his autopsy was not conducted. Dr Sankhyadhar was found dead in his clinic-cum-residence in Shivaji Chowk area of Nanak Nagar on March 19, 2009. His body was found in pool of blood and had some deep injury marks, suggesting that he was murdered. The doctor was very popular among his friends as he was a socialite and a prominent badminton player of the yesteryears. He was also an office bearer of the Jammu district Badminton Association. His death, which many believed was a gruesome murder, shocked the entire city.
