| Pathanateer people stage protest, torch flags of NC | | |  M S Nazki

Poonch, Mar 31: People of Pathanateer staged a protest demonstration over the long pending demand of upgrading Govt High School to secondary school and expressed their resentment against the former MLA Javed Rana who allegedly has failed to keep his promise triggering a clash between NC workers and locals here today. They said the locals were staging a protest demanding upgradation of High school to Higher Secondary school and meantime the cavalcade of former NC MLA Javed Rana appeared there which was leading towards Kalaban allegedly his PSOs and workers clashed with locals when they appearantly waved black flags to MLA who according to sources had promised the locals that Govt High School will be upgraded to Higher Secondary school for girls but the demand was not materialized , they added. Locals while talking to Early Times alleged that long ago NC MLA Javed Rana had promised us the upgradation of this school which was the need of the hour when he had visited the area but he failed to keep his promise and we have been staging protest here for the last 3 days to get our demand materialized but the goon of NC thrashed and manhandled us. While expressing their resentment the leader of the protesors Faisal Hussain Shah said though we were staging a peaceful protest against district authorities in favour of our demands for the last 3 days but the NC men who were escorting former NC MLA Javed Rana beat the gullible public for no reasons and the violent protestors torched the party flags of NC which they collected from their vehicles during the clash. |
