13 employees of Education Deptt attached for violating MCC

Jammu, Mar 31: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur has attached 13 employees of school education department for their alleged involvement in election campaign of a particular candidate of particular party which is considered to be sheer violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
Sources informed Early Times that on 29/03/2019, the Nodal Officer (Additional District Development Commissioner) received a complaint of 13 employees of school Education Department including teachers, masters and RReT teachers who were allegedly involved in election campaign of a particular party.
"The CEO Udhampur Daljeet Singh acted swiftly and attached all the 13 employees with his office and constituted a five members committee comprising of Zonal Education Officers and Principals of Higher Secondary Schools and directed all the DDOs to relieve all the officials forthwith to report to his office to face the enquiry", said sources while wishing anonymity.
Sources further said that however, three teachers among the 13 were already attached with the CEO office Udhampur for allegedly indulging in campaigning for particular party.
"The erring employees have been identified as Rajesh Gupta (Master) posted at MS Daler Morh, Arjun Singh (Teacher) of MS Chigli Rassain (Ghordi), Balwan Singh (Class IV) of HSS Chowki Jandrore, Parkash Chand (Master) of MS Birnoo (Ghordl), Kuldeep Kumar (Teacher) of MS Sangli-Kalwanta, Vikas Mandal (RRET Tr) of PS Ddhara (Kalwanta), Romalo Ram (Headmaster) of HS Konain, Baddev Raj (Lecturer) of HSS Basantgarh, Des Raj (Cook) of PS Chigli Sattian , Ravi Kumar (RRET Tr) of PS Kaddi Dhera, Sanjeev Kumar (Master) of MS Bassi (Ramnagar), Deep Kumar (Tr) of High School Sattain and Rakesh Kumar (Master) of MS Majua (Ghordi)", were mentioned in vide order NO CEOU/Elec/61228-36 dated 29-03-2019 have been attached with CEO office Udhampur with immediate effect for enquiry.
A teacher said that in Kashmir division nearly 20 employees were suspended for violating MCC and for participating in rally of particular party's candidates but in Jammu division these employees have been openly campaigning for particular party, were simply attached it shows dual yardstick of JK government to deal those who violating MCC.
