Cong ignoring Jammu leaders, appeasing Kashmiris | | | ET Report Jammu, Mar 31: Congress party in Jammu region is grappling with number of issues due to the wrong decisions taken by the party high command to appease Kashmir centric leadership. Sources told Early times senior Congress leader Shyam Lal Sharma deserting the party has created ripples with the camp of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) as Sharma enjoys lot of support in the Jammu region. They said that Sharma was upset with the party high command for ignoring his demand to give mandate to his brother Madan Lal Sharma from Jammu Parliamentary constituency. “The Congress high command is leaving no stone unturned to appease the Kashmir centric leaders but on the other hand Jammu leaders are being ignored. This policy has hurt the interests of the Congress in the region,” he added. It’s in place to mention here the Congress on Sunday announced that the JKPCC chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir would contest the Lok Sabha elections from Anantnag parliamentary constituency. |
