Develop Bhaderwah as model tourist constituency: Harsh | | | Early Times Report Bhaderwah, Apr 1: Anguished over the failure of all parties and successive governments to tap the tourism potential of Bhaderwah in Doda district, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister lambasted both Congress and BJP for not paying heed to Bhaderwah's overall development despite the hill resort having earned its name as 'Chota Kashmir'. "Rather their elected representatives befooled the people by doling false promises only for vested political interests", Harsh rued. He was addressing series of public meetings in Seri Bazar, Gatha, Bhala ,Batote and Chenani segments during the election campaign in Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency . While addressing the gatherings, Harsh Dev Singh said neither Congress nor BJP could fulfill the aspirations of the people in Bhaderwah. "People had been voting heavily in favour of these parties for the past 70 years but no elected representative including the BJP's ex-MP could raise the voice of the people in the Parliament", Harsh said. Taking a dig at BJP, he said that ex-MP who despite holding an important position of MoS in the PMO despicably abandoned his own people and focused on the development of north eastern states. He said Saffron brigade made tall harangues during 2014 Lok Sabha elections to allure the voters but all broken promises in the past 5 years had triggered rage and anger among the people. "It's time to get rid of the 'jumla sellers' and elect the representative who is well versed with your pain and wishes. Only Panthers party can assuage your hurt psyche and provide you with the dynamic leadership", asserted Harsh. On the subject of local issues, Harsh Dev Singh regretted that Bhaderwah despite being blessed with abundant picturesque places by the nature, was not brought on the world's tourism map by the successive governments. He said that this heaven on earth had a vast potential to be developed as a model tourist constituency to attract tourists from all across the country and abroad. |
