BBIA urges Guv to take measures for attracting new investment in state

JAMMU, Apr 1: A meeting was held today at Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) under the presidentship of Lalit Mahajan in presence of Suresh Mahajan, senior vice president, Varun Singla, vice president, Ajay Langer general secretary, Vivek Singhal secretary, Viraaj Malhotra Treasurer and other members of BBIA to discuss the uncertainty prevailing in the mind of young entrepreneurs to establish the units in MSME sector due to non-availability of State Fiscal Incentives.
Amidst rising challenges in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) for the Industrial Sector due to non availability of State Fiscal Incentives to New Units and Units under substantial Expansion, the Local youths setting cross hands for their future due to non availability of State Fiscal Incentives to MSME Sector as at present the Reimbursement of SGST benefits only available to New Units and Units under Substantial for the Investment of Rs 50 Crores and above.
BBIA appeals to the Governor Satya Pal Malik, K Skandan Advisor to Governor, Navin Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce to kindly grant State Fiscal Incentives to New Units and Units Under Substantial Expansion for the survival of MSME Sector of our state being run by sons of the soil.
BBIA demands Budgetary Support for Reimbursement of 100% CGST and SGST for Intra-State Sale to Existing as well as New Units under Substantial Expansion, Budgetary Support for the Reimbursement of 2% Sale value for Inter-State Sale to all the Existing as well as new units and units under Substantial Expansion while it also sought State Road Freight Refund Scheme upto destination for the inter-state sale to neighbouring states to all the units.
