| 7 booked for not depositing licensed weapons | | |

Doda, Apr 1: An FIR was registered against seven persons for not depositing their licensed weapons ahead of the general elections. District Magistrate Kishtwar had directed all the licensed weapon holders to deposit their weapons at concerned Police Station, a police official said.
Consequently Doda Police Today lodged two FIRs viz FIR No. 35 /2019 and 36/2019 u/s 188RPC,21/25 (h) Arms Act at PS Bhaderwah and PS Doda against following Persons Ghulam Hassan S/o Umar Din R/o Altoo Trown, Gulsher Ahmed S/O Sabar din R/o Soura Bhalla, Dev raj S/o kanhiya Lal R/o Bhatri Trown, Kashmir singh S/o Deewan chand R/o Shajja, Mohd Iqbal S/o Mangta Wani, Ab.latief S/o Mohd Maqbool Magry both R/o Pul Doda and Gian Singh S/o Chanda Singh R/o Beoli Tehsil and District Doda for not depositing their liscensed weapons in concerned Police Station's, thus violating the DM Doda's order.
However, investigation of the case is going on and Doda Police is identifying such more persons who have not yet deposited their liscensed weapons in concerned Police Station so that action under law is taken against them. |
