| PIL for better care of old age homes | | HC gives Govt 3 weeks to file response | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 15: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Viklang Chattra Trust seeking better care of old age home, a Division Bench of J&K High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sindhu Sharma, directed the Social Welfare Department (SWD) to file response within three weeks.
After hearing Advocate Sumit Nayyar for the PIL, the court referred to its earlier order whereby it had directed SWD to give details as to whether all the beneficiaries who have submitted applications for grant of benefits and those who have already registered are being given benefits under those schemes or not and whether paucity of funds is acting as hindrance with the department. |
