New party goes for secret pact with ousted PDP leaders | | | Early Times Report srinagar, Apr 15: A political party recently floated by a former bureaucrat has allegedly gone for a "secret pact" with two leaders, who were "ousted" from the Peoples Democratic Party. Sources said the former PDP leaders, both of whom were also ministers in the previous government have been in constant touch with some of the top leaders of the new party. Sources said apart from holding frequent meetings in Kashmir, the two groups are in touch with each other even in New Delhi. "He (leader ousted from PDP) is telling the founder of the new party that he will compose agenda of reliance for them through his contacts and many such meetings were held in the national capital," said a source privy to the meets. He said the newly founded party was getting support in various forms from the two leaders who are yet to get entry into any party. "One of the two ousted leaders who is also a businessman has been offering various forms of support for the new party and that has conveyed it to them that he was always there to help them out," said a source. Sources said the said leader was willing to offer assistance even during their political rallies. Sources said the two leaders have become "mentors" for the new party and that the latter was taking major advise from them. "From small issues to big issues they are getting advise on numerous fronts especially from the one who speaks of scripting a new agenda of reliance in Kashmir politics," the sources said. Sources said the two groups look ahead to work as one team for the next elections and would "try to help each other and their friends from time to time." Despite repeated attempts the two leaders or the leaders of the newly floated party couldn't be contacted for comments. |
