Udhampur, Apr 15: A wall painting competition was held in the campus of GDC Ramnagar with the objective to create general awareness on environmental and social issues besides exuberance of thoughts in a creative manner by the participants. The competition was organized by Prof. Anuradha Sharma, HOD Department of Environmental Sciences and Ravinder Kumar, Lecturer EVS, which was based on various themes viz; Solid Waste Management, Water Conservation, Global Warming, Climate Change, Ozone Layer Depletion, Energy Conservation, Drug Addiction and Save Girl Child and so on.
The painting competition witnessed participation of nearly 50 students belonging to Semesters (II and IV) of Environmental Sciences of GDC Ramnagar who were divided into 10 groups. The participants portrayed beautiful wall paintings on various themes. After the conclusion of this event, the first prize was shared by the team of Sachin Bhardwaj, Bhushan Bhardwaj, Ajay Kumar and Rohit Kumar whereas, the second prize was bagged by the team of Rohit Sharma, Wabuk, Sheetal, Shivani and Akshita and third prize was shared by the team of Saksham, Pratiksha, Riya, Shenu, Sonali, Sunidhi and Ankita. |
