Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has pledged to give Rs 1 crore to the families of the Pulwama martyrs.
The singer, from her personal account will make the donation to the NGO Bharat ke working for India’s bravehearts under the Ministry of Home Affairs, revealed Adinath Mangeshkar, grandson of Master Deenanath Mangeshkar. A suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus at Lethpora in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on February 14 killing at least 40 CRPF jawans.
Apart from Rs 1 crore donation by Lata Mangeshkar, the Mangeshkar family and friends will make additional donation of Rs 11 lakh for the kin of BSF jawans who lost their lives in the Kashmir Valley, said Adinath Mangeshkar. |
