Vehicles without HSRP to be penalized: TC | ‘Get registration plate before May 15’ | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Apr19: Transport Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir has issued a circular giving last opportunity to motor vehicle owners running to get High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) or face legal actuion. The circular reads: "It has come to notice to Transport Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir office that a large number of vehicles are plying In the state without affixing of High Security Registration Number Plates (HSRP) which is in violation of the directions of the Supreme Court." The order further reads, "The affixation of (HSRP) to all vehicles has already been made mandatory by Transport Commissioner J&K vide notification No TC/JK/20I2/ 4521, dated 24.05.2012. In view of the above the final opportunity is hereby given to vehicle owners, who have not affixed HSRP till date, is advised to approach the authorized vendor for affix, HSRP on their vehicles. The cutoff date for affixing of HSRP is 15th of May 2019 thereafter action as warranted under the rules shall be Initiated against the defaulters. Any unauthorized vendor found making or affixing of the registration manual number plate shall be penalized under the law. All individuals, firms, business, houses involved in illegal, unauthorized fabrication and affixing of number plates are advised to abide try the direction. Now in order to ensure the implementation of orders all the Registering Authorities, enforcement agencies are impressed upon to ensure implementation of affixing High Security registration plates (HSRP) on all Motor Vehicles of the State. |
