| J&K Police recovers Nagchati in Kishtwar, forest produce smuggler held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 19: J&K Police in Kishtwar district arrested a Forest Produce Smuggler and recovered seven bags of Nagchatri weighing 249 Kg worth Rs. 5 lacs (approx) from his shop during a raid last night .
The accused has been identified as Tariq Hussain S/O Ghulam Qadir Butt R/O Berwar Kishtwar. Reports said that on April 18, a police party of Police Post Kuleed while on patrolling duty reliably learnt that Tariq has illegally dumped forest produce viz Nagchatri in his shop at Kishtwar. On receipt of this information I/C PP Kuleed alongwith other officials raided the shop and recovered seven bags of Nagchatri weighing 249 Kg worth Rs. 5 lacs (approx.) from his shop.
In this regard case FIR No. 74/2019 U/S. 379 RPC, 6/16Forest Act stand registered at Police Station Kishtwar and the accused has been arrested . |
