| DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED, 50 GM CHARAS RECOVERED BY DISTRICT POLICE SAMBA | | |
Samba, 23 April:
Acting sternly against the drug menace and its propagators, District Police Samba in the jurisdiction of P/S Bari Brahmana has arrested a drug peddler and recovered 50 gm Charas from his possession.
A Police Party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspr. Darshan Singh, SHO Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Sh. Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana & Shri Feisal Qureshi, Addl.SP Samba while performing patrolling duty in Kundanpur area of Bari Brahmanan intercepted a person who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking of the said person, 02 Challis containing 50 gm charas was recovered from his possession. The accused persons identified as Bashir Ahmed S/o Ali Mohd Bhat R/O Magaam Kokernag, Anantnag A/P Kala Gate Industrial area Bari Brahmana was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard a case FIR No. 54/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation is started.
