| ITI employees discuss issues with Secretary | | |

Jammu, Apr 25: A delegation of J&K ITI United Front today attended a meeting convened by Zubair Ahmad Secretary to government Technical Education department.
The delegation was headed by State President Nazir Ahmed Molvi, Karan Singh-General Secretary, along with other members.
They put up their demands which included filling up / placement of head of the institution, filling up up all the vacancies of superintendents, finalization of recruitment rules for both gazetted/non-gazetted posts.
They further said all the Industrial Training institutes of the country are under the aegis of National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) and all the trades of the ITI's are to be affiliated with NCVT with some prescribed guidelines. The drafts rules seems to be ignoring all guidelines prescribed by the NCVT and some particular groups, uniform pay scale of instructors and removal of pay anomalies beside others.
Secretary gave patient hearing and assured the delegation for taking appropriate action on the demands shortly. Other prominent trade union members who were present in the meeting viz: Parvez Iqbal, Naresh Jamwal, Sumit Chandial, Navneet Gupta. |
