AAC team visits GDC Ramnagar

JAMMU, Apr 27: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team from Bangalore visited Government Degree College (GDC), Ramnagar, for the first cycle for Accreditation.
The NAAC Peer Team comprised of Dr Pravin Trividi (Former Vice Chancellor of DDU Gorakhpur University UP) as Chairperson, Dr Debabrata Mitra, Professor (University of North Bengal, West Bengal) as Member-Coordinator and Dr Arivinder Singh Bhalla Principal, (Gujranwala Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Ludhiana Punjab) as Member.
In their two-day schedule, the PEER Team interacted with various stake holders of the college. On the very first day, the principal of the college Dr YP Kundal welcomed the NAAC peer team and gave the detailed Power-Point presentation about the achievements, activities, history and performance of the college since the inception of the college in 2005.After that the NAAC peer team visited different departments of college where HODs of the science departments, BBA, BCA gave their Power-Point presentations about the functioning of their departments. The team members also interacted with IQAC team, Director Colleges Higher Education Department Dr Yasin Shah, Deputy Secretary Higher Education Department Vikas Dhar, students, parents, teachers, Non-Teaching Staff, Convener of various committees, NSS, NCC and Alumni of the college.
They also inspected the library, sports department, EVS department, College canteen, Girls common room and Women development cell. At the end of the day, a scintillating and colourful cultural programme showing the local folk songs and dances were performed by the students of the college.
On the second day, NAAC PEER team -interacted once again with the faculty of arts, non-teaching staff and students and gave a heart touching and motivational lecture. In the end, Exit Meet was held in which all the staff members and students were present.
