JAMMU, April 27: Transport Department held an interactive session with owners of Driving Schools of Jammu province. Dr Asgar Samoon, Principal Secretary Transport chaired the session and Amit Sharma, Special Secretary Transport, Dhanenter Singh, RTO Jammu, Mahesh Dass, Director Finance Transport, Chand Singh, Under Secretary Transport, ARTOs of all districts of Jammu accompanied him. The main focus of this interactive session was to understand the issues and challenges faced by the owners of Driving Schools in the state.
Principal Secretary Transport listened to the suggestions given by owners of these institutes and further told them to enter into PPP mode with government to run joint institutes to provide technical training to drivers especially drivers of heavy vehicles in the state.
On the sidelines, Asgar Principal Secretary Transport alongwith Amit Sharma, Special Secretary Transport and Dhanenter Singh, RTO Jammu also inaugurated a free eye-cum-health check-up camp at Taxi Stand, Railway Station Jammu.
