| Mendhar, Haveli without ROs since January | | | M S Nazki

Poonch, May 2: Posts of Range officers (ROs) for Mendhar and Haveli forest ranges are vacant since January following transfer of former officers, sources said here today.
Sources said for the last four months no forest range officer for Haveli and Mendhar ranges have been sent by the Government while the guards of the concerned forest ranges were managing the affairs with difficulty due to non availability of these officers. They said due to absence of these officers both forest ranges were headless and as a result some miscreants take undue advantage of it. While talking to District Forest officer (DFO) Poonch, Mohan dass Choudhary told Early Times that both Mendhar and Haveli forest ranges were without range officers for the last four months and we have intimated the government over the issue which may be resolved soon, he added. |
