4 ophtomologists posted in DHS office | Jammu hospitals without eye specialists | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 2: While four eye surgeons are serving in the directorate of health services, Jammu, most of the district hospitals are without eye surgeons. Patients in need of surgery have to go to private clinics of Jammu hospitals. Many hospitals across Jammu province are urgently in need of specialist doctors in rural areas but most of them have managed posting in urban areas. Sources said four eye specialists in the directorate office are doing office work as patients suffer in the district hospitals. Besides, Jammu hospitals are already facing a shortage of doctors as well as specialists but the authorities seem in no mood to do the needful. |
