Traffic Police act tough against violators | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 2: In order to ensure hassle free vehicular movement in Kathua and Samba districts and strict implementation of traffic rules, Traffic Police launched special drive against violators'. According to Press Release, SSP Traffic, Rural Jammu M L Kaith accompanied by the DySP Traffic Samba-Kathua, Behari Lal and concerned DTI/SOs(T) launched a special drive against the violators in the said District. During the special drives, 510 challans under different M.V Act against the traffic violators have been conducted and revenue of amounting to Rs, 1,50,000 realized from the violators. 15 vehicles have been seized and handed over to the concerned Police stations for further proceedings. SSP Traffic Rural Jammu has asked the general public to follow the traffic rules for their own safety. He said that the society as a whole has to participate in this process and to take responsibility for hassle free movement of vehicular traffic. He further said that enforcement drive will get more stringent in coming days. Further, in a major achievement, the Mughal road from Bufliaz to Shopian (Kashmir) has been opened for one way traffic movement and the commuters are requested to confirm through the concerned Traffic Control Units regarding further movement. |
