| JDF expresses concern over death of woman in nursing home | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: Jammu Doctor Forum (JDF) has expressed grief over the death of a Anju Devi (38 years) in a private nursing home in Akhnoor after an anaphylactic reaction following an antibiotic injection. According to press release, JDF members said a medical professional is not a safe practice, all the drugs are potential toxic agents and some occasions how the patient reacts to a particular drug is an enigma.
"Our doctor profession is vulnerable to such accidents. When complications and death occur, it is not at all acceptable to the patients and the attendants. Although no doctor wants its patient to face such happenings and in response to such accidents, the police have to perform its duties to uphold the law and order situation under control, sometimes overdoing and overreaction do happen by Police Personnel", President of Forum Dr Satya Dev Gupta said. Secretary Dr. Virender Sharma also shared his views. |
