Vijaypur, May 8: Lord Parshuram Jayanti was today celebrqted at village Gho Barhamna of Samba.
Early in the morning Pooja and Havan was performed in the premises of Polli Devi temple. A Shobha yatra was organised, which started from village Gho Brahmana and passed through Swankha Morh, Vijaypur, Ramgarh, Balotra Chak and ended at Gho Brahmana.
Different Brahmin community organizations have served Halwa, fruits, drinking water to the devotees while procession.
The devotees were chanting slogans. Puran Aahuti was given after procession. The Brahmin community of entire Tehsil of Vijaypur, Bari Brahmana and Bishnah participated in the function.
Om Parkash, Dr. Yudhvir, Rampal Sarpanch, Mohan Lal, Rajan Sharma, Rakesh Kumar were the main organisers of the occasion. |
