Early Times Report Jammu, May 8: The J&K High Court has directed the Chief Secretary to place the case of a government official for his promotion to the post of Assistant Director Employment before DPC/PSC within six weeks. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, after hearing senior advocate PN Raina for the petitioner, Yog Raj Sudan, ruled that the case of the petitioner for his promotion to the post of Assistant Director Employment shall be considered by the Chief Secretary in light of recommendation made by DPC in its meeting held on 17.08.2010. "While so considering, the Chief Secretary shall take note of the fact that junior to him in Class II namely Sansar Singh got such promotion w.e.f 01.8.1998," the court ruled. "However, promotion of the petitioner when effected shall ensure to the benefit of re-fixation of his salary, payment of arrears w.e.f 26.10.2010 till his superannuation as also re-fixation of his post-retiral benefits," the court added.
