| Kishtwar martyrs remembered on Shaheedi Diwas | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, May 10: Rich tributes were paid today by the people of the
Kishtwar to late Satish Bhandari on his 26th martyrdom, beside all those who sacrificed their lives while fighting militancy in the state.
In a Shrdhanjali Samaroh organized at Gori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot under chairmanship of Mahant Baba Ram Saran Dass Shastri, a floral tributes were paid to martyr Bhandari who was killed by the Militants on 10-5-1993 at Gudhali Chowk while he was returning home.
In their addresses, the speakers said that it was only due to the scarifies of these martyrs, that evil designs of anti national elements fails to succeed in Kishtwar District.
Urging society to follow the footsteps of the martyrs, speakers appealed for unity to fight against the evils of the society. Several people from different walks of life also attended the program which was organized every year on 10th of May as on this day; State General Secretary Hindu Raksha Simiti Satish Bhandari was assassinated by terrorists while he was on its way to his home after closing his shop.
