| Parent Empowerment Programme organised | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 10: A Parent Empowerment Programme was organisedby the students of M.Sc. Second Semester,P.G. Department of Home Science for the parents of the children of Laboratory Surbhi Nursery School which is a part of the department. The Programme was co-ordinated by Prof. RajniDhingra, Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu. Parents attended the programme in a large number. The programme started with the welcome note by Prof. Shashi Manhas H.O.D, Home Science, who in her address shared some parenting tips and emphasised on the significance of the parent -child bonding through story telling and spending quality time with children. Students presented their outlook about parenting through power point presentations and a skit with the theme of "Children need your presence not the Presents". Interactive session with the parents was also very fruitful where the parents shared their concerns about their children and enquired about some tips on handling every day issues related to their children. Dr. Priyanka Sharma and Kirti Chauhan helped the students in organizing the programme.
