| Bootlegger nabbed with 140 quarters of illicit liquor | | |
Mendhar, May 25: In order to check the trafficking of illicit liquor, it's illegal sale and purchase, Poonch police started a special drive. The police party of PS Mendhar headed by SHO Sajjad Mir laid a naka at Mankote.
During checking and frisking one suspected person started fleeing from the spot to avoid checking, but the alert cops along with ASI Noor Hussain chased the suspected person and apprehended him. On search of the vehicle recovered 140 quarters of illicit liquor from 03 bags which he was carrying in his Alto Car bearing Reg. No. 2499/PB 23E driven by Ghulam Mustfa son of Aiss Ullah resident of Sakhimadain Mendhar. In this regard Case FIR No. 77/2019 under section 48a E. Act has been registered.
