Mankotia bats strongly to constitute delimitation commission in J&K | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 5: Former MLA & President Panthers Party Balwant Singh Mankotia has strongly batted to constitute delimitation commission in J&K. While addressing a press conference here today, NPP President Mankotia appreciates the central government concern towards de-limitation commission. He said that from last 60 years Jammu province is facing continuous discrimination in every field such as education, government jobs, employment etc. He said that political inequality between Jammu & Kashmir is the main reason behind that due to which Jammu province has 37 assembly seats & Kashmir has 46 whereas 44 seats required to form Government, which results that CM is always being elected from Kashmir region & Jammu region is still waiting to get CM chair, Mankotia added. Mankotia recalled that in 2005 Panthers party ended alliance with PDP-Congress government due to non-implementation of delimitation commission and it had been always remained prime demand of Panthers Party which was included in every election manifesto of Party. Mankotia also demands for separate assembly constituency to Bhamaag-Landar-Pancheri area which is divided in three constituencies due to which development is eclipsed completely of that area. NPP President Balwant Singh Mankotia also demands to adjust the 24 seats in Jammu region which were reserved for PoK refugees as maximum PoK refugees live in Jammu. Mankotia urges home ministry to constitute delimitation early in the state to end discrimination with Jammu region. |
