Weather turns pleasant after widespread rain for 24 hours | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Jun 5: Weather turned pleasant after widespread rain during the past 24 hours in the Kashmir valley, where people celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, culminating the holy fasting month of Ramadhan on Wednesday though there is still a forecast for wet weather during the next two days. A Met department spokesman said here this evening that there could be fairly widespread light to moderate rain and thundershowers during the next 24 hours in the Jammu and Kashmir. Scattered to isolated light rain and thundershowers is predicted during the subsequent two days in the state. After widespread rain and thundershowers besides gusty winds for about 24 hours, weather turned pleasant this morning much to the delight of people who are celebrating the Eid festival today. However, Eid prayers scheduled to be held in Eidgahs and other open fields were cancelled due to wet ground following rain last night. |
