| IRA Jammu organises awareness programme on plantation | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 5: Indian Railways Authority Jammu in collaboration with Forest Department today organised an awareness programme on plantation drive at Railway Station Jammu. Stn Manager Indian Railway Jammu Chetan Taneja was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who came along with her wife Dr Bhanupriya.
Divisional Forest Officer Jammu Sat Pal presided over the function. Addressing the gathering, DFO Jammu informed about the importance of plantation. He expressed his concern over the deforestation due to rapid increase in urbanisation. He urged upon the plantations across the region by organised drives. The employees of Railway Station Jammu employees, students of United Public School Jammu and children of Railway Colony participated in the awareness programme. On this occasion the gathering was also made ware about Beti Pradao Beti Badao. |
