| Illegal timber seized in Rafiabad | | | Early Times Report
Baramulla, June 17: A team of forest protection force (GAMMA) unit K07 siezed illicit timber in Rafiabad Forest of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
A forest official said that a team of forest department siezed a vehicle bearing registration number JK02R 1756 laden with illicit green timber in Rafiabad on Sunday night. Officer said that however smugglers escaped from the spot.
Official said that 80 cubic feet of green timber were seized from a Tipper in Tragpora forests in Rafiabad belt.
The timber had been cut down by smugglers in upper belt of Rafiabad and was being carried to urban areas official added. |
