| JKNPP demands restoration of Dogri New bulletin from AIR | | Voice for Dogri Language | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 17: Thousands of participants in National Integration Camp of J&K National Panthers Party at Sudhmahadev, Udhampur district (J&K) passed a resolution condemning the bosses of All India Radio for removing the Dogri Bulletin from the Delhi All India Radio schedule for nearly 50 years.
The National Panthers Party in a resolution condemned the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for taking anti-Jammu, anti - Dogri Language and its culture by cancelling all activities/announcements in Dogri which was being carried by Delhi Broadcasting Station since many years with Kashmiri Language. Prof. Bhim Singh condemned the Central Government for another discrimination against the Dogri speaking people in Jammu & Kashmir.
He said that Kashmiri and Dogri are recognized in 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. This is a shame that Dogri Bulletin has been cancelled from Delhi whereas Kashmiri Bulletin continues. This is insult of millions of Dogras and to the Dogri language which is included in 8th Schedule also.
The resolution passed in one voice asking Central Govt. to restore the status of the Dogri language at par with Kashmir language lest the Dogri speaking people rise in revolt against the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. |
