Jammu, June 17: Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) has hailed the decision of BJP working groups which included de-freezing of assembly seats kept reserved for POK and disbursement of package to the displaced persons of POK of 1947, 1965 and 1971 were taken. According to press release, SAD is of the view that these issues are always raised when the assembly elections are ensuing and later on these issues are put in cold storage. Delimitation and de freezing are two separate issues which have unnecessarily been intermingled and are always delayed, they said. SAD (Badal) is of the opinion that Centre Govt. headed by Narinder Modi should take a decision on the de freezing of the reserved seats before ensuing elections for the population of POK who have migrated to this part of state. |
