Natrang felicitates DDC Reasi | | | Early Times report Jammu, June 20: Natrang felicitated Indu Kanwal Chib, District Development Commissioner, Reasi on the concluding day of Mela Aghar Jitto-2019 for supporting Natrang initiatives aimed at reviving the priceless heritage and culture. Speaking on the occasion Indu Kanwal Chib stressed on the need of the preservation of traditional arts, ancient values and most importantly the respect and appreciation of artistic and creative endeavors. Focusing on youth and children, she desired younger generations to take lead not only in preservation of heritage, language and culture but also be the role models in conservation of environment, forest and water resources. She assured all possible help from the district administration to such initiatives which are aimed at the larger public welfare and education of the general masses. Earlier welcoming the mammoth gathering at the main stage of Aghar Jitto, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur said that if such events like presentation of the stories of Shree Mata Vaishno Devi and Bawa Jitto are made a permanent feature and supported wholeheartedly both by government and public, they will not only revive cultural and community life of the area but will also become the ultimate world cultural destination. Nowhere on this earth can one have such an occasion to see something out of the world happening on stage which transports together thousands of audiences to a live happening of 15th century. |
